Our information comes from a variety of sources, including:
- Statistics Canada
- Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC)
- related associations and licensing bodies
- the National Occupational Classification (NOC) system
About the National Occupational Classification (NOC)
The National Occupational Classification assigns codes to and groups jobs by:
- main duties or tasks
- example titles for jobs within an occupational group
- specific education or training requirements
- experience needed
Frequency of job profile updates
Data is refreshed each year in late winter/early spring. Design and usability improvements are made on an ongoing, ad hoc basis.
